Haryana Budget 2026 Puts Farmers and Job Seekers First

The state government unveiled a ₹1.92 lakh crore budget with big allocations for farm loan relief, skill training and urban transport.

Chandigarh: Presenting the state budget on Monday, the finance minister announced record allocations for agriculture, promising interest-free crop loans for small farmers and a doubling of the horticulture subsidy.

The budget earmarks ₹4,800 crore for the Skill Development Mission, targeting two lakh youths for placement-linked training this year. An additional ₹1,200 crore has been set aside for city bus services in Sonipat, Panipat and Hisar.

Analysts called it an election-friendly budget, while opposition leaders demanded a white paper on unemployment figures. A full sector-wise breakdown is available in our Politics section.

Good to see farm loan relief finally prioritised. Hope the interest-free scheme reaches small farmers without middlemen.
